Find out more about it: from Subject Librarian Tim Smith or by visiting one of the following bibliographies: Biblical Studies, Buddhism, Hinduism or Islamic Studies.

Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start your research. If your subject is religion the Oxford Bibliographies Online is a good place to begin. These bibliography tools contain annotated bibliographies, some with over a hundred sources, covering specific topics about each religion. Students researching World Religions will find resources much more focused on their subject in the bibliographies compared to the broad search results in a larger database. This means less time searching for information and more time reading and working with the information you’ve found. You can even create a free account in order to save a list of sources you find.

To search these bibliographies, you can look in the alphabetical list for your topic or use the provided search engine. If you are still unsure of a topic, begin by browsing the list.

The Oxford Bibliographies Online can be accessed either on or off campus by logging in with your OHIO id.
