Resource of the Week: Worth Global Style Network

Resource: Worth Global Style (WGSN)

Find out more about it: In the Retail and Fashion Product Development subject guide by Sherri Saines.

Athens may be far away from the catwalks, big cities and fashion-forward retail stores, but students and faculty interested in fashion, design, marketing and merchandising will find a wealth of images, commentary, business analysis and trend forecasting for the fashion and interior design industries in the WGSN database.

WGSN is the industry standard for trend analysis in any design field. Fashion students can find and track the colored fur craze, for example, or the change over time in the Little Black Dress. Interior Design Students can see store fronts and retail layouts from all over the globe when considering a similar project for class.

You can use the search function to look for a particular product or trend but its also easy – and fun – to browse through images from the catwalks, color inspiration and street shots as well.

If you’d like to learn more about WGSN, get in touch with Sherri Saines or Gary Ginther.
