Mike Koren served as executive assistant to the governor during the first term having responsibility for business and industry a.k.a. economic development / community development. He concentrated on liaison with the following areas: Ohio Department of Development; Ohio Rail Development Commission; the Cluster Agencies; Transportation; and, miscellaneous areas.

The records are arranged in the order in which they arrived. They are mostly by the unit but there are several special categories: Bureau of Workers’ Compensation; Commerce; Industrial Commission; Insurance; Liquor Control; Ohio Turnpike Commission; Public Utilities Commission of Ohio; Vehicle Manufacturers; and, Ohio Department of Transportation. The files contain correspondence, meetings, legislative summaries, requests, memos, press materials, budget information, public inquiries, and printed materials.
