[Photo Essay] Students Celebrate 24/5 Opening of Fourth Floor

On the evening of Sept. 6, coals glowed on the grill as students chatted and passersby eagerly stopped to eat a favorite campout treat, s’mores, during “Camp Alden.” The event, held from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., was in celebration of Alden Library’s fourth floor opening of the 24 hours-a-day/5-days-a-week overnight study.

While inside Alden’s revolving doors on the fourth floor, students enjoyed more snacks from the nacho bar, cut images out of old magazines to make personalized buttons, watched silent films, or listened to stories sitting cross-legged around a mock campfire. Other party-goers laughed as they dressed up with hats and fake mustaches to take photos, which were printed to take home for future memories.
